Another weekend over. Cannot believe it is almost thanksgiving! 2017 what, just started, right?! Thanksgiving is not really celebrated in India, but I really love the concept of this festival, which brings all the close friends and families together at least once a year.
My birthday also happens to be this week and I am kind of happy, but have a sinking feeling since this will be my last birthday in my 20s. I will be 29 officially and that is kind of scary! 😐
My life is so different from what I thought it would be when I was 22-23. I am doing something very different in my professional life, have already been married for 3.5 years and living in the United States. Life has turned out very different, but I am happy that it did. Because I am the happiest I have ever been. 🙂
I have been blessed with some really good people in my life and I wanted to thank god for this, so this weekend we went to the Indian temple here in New Jersey. Since it is getting so cold, I wore this red sweater from Zara, which has a very cute tie detail in the back. This red color is particularly one of my absolute favorites.
Since I love a good white and red pair- I wore my white skinny jeans that I got earlier this year from Zara. And I paired this with my flat over the knee boots from Sam Edelman that I got last year during Thanksgiving. This works very good with jeans but is a little loose by itself, so I need to get another pair that I can wear with skirts or dresses.
With the temperature dipping in 20s, one sweater was not going to cut it, I also had this coat on that I bought last year from Primark (which is ONLY $40!).
I wish you all a very happy thanksgiving and hope that you all have a great time with your loved ones!
