Happy Sunday!!! It finally snowed here yesterday in Philly and I couldn’t be happier! Now, I am not saying that I like the cold that comes with it, but there is just something magical about the first snow of a season 🙂

Even though I wasn’t planning on doing anything on a snowy day, I asked hubby if we could do a photoshoot in snow. And guess what, as always, he agreed to what I said 😀 So, I got all ready, curled my hair and got dressed up- just to step outside and get some pictures. I know, might sound VERY LAME! But, you gotta do what you gotta do! 😀

We all know that sweater dresses are the perfect winter outfits- you don’t have to worry about matching them with anything and it always looks cute on! AND, if you are petite (5’4” or under), you can also transform any longer sweaters into sweater dresses, like I did here! Bet you didn’t think this was a sweater dress! 😀

This is actually an oversized sweater that I got from Zara about a month back and when I tried it that day, I wasn’t really feeling it. So, I put it back in the box to return it. Now, I am a self-proclaimed forgetful person. And I forgot to return this as well. And what do we do when life throws us a lemon, you make a lemonade out of it (hoping this analogy works here!).

To be honest, I was actually going to figure out what to wear with it, but I realized it was long enough to cover my bum and with Over the Knee boots, I didn’t really need anything else! Problem Solved, HA!

By the way, I AM IN LOVE with these OTK boots! I actually got the Steve Madden OTK during Nordstrom thanksgiving sale, but again #petitegirlproblems! Those were more like thigh high rather than over the knee. So, instead I exchanged them for these Cole Haan Over the knee and I have never been happier! (well, I have been, but you know what I mean 😀 ) These do not have any tie of any sort, but the front part of it is real suede which I didn’t know is supposed to be stiffer than faux suede. It has a small zipper at the ankles for comfortably putting them on and off, these stay up on my legs, without any support or tie and has a chunkier heel that doesn’t make me look like a kid- what more could I ask for! This is my favorite winter purchase so far 🙂

And since the whole outfit was going to be a noir movie, I opted for a beanie that I got last weekend from Express that has the brightest pink pom-pom on it. And a wool infinity scarf, just to keep me warm. I mean, it is snowing after all!

This yellow jacket if one of my favorites to wear and it is only $40. I got it last winter from Primark store when it first opened in Philadelphia. But, I’ll be sure to link a few similar ones 🙂

Did it snow where you guys live? What did you do- snuggle in front of TV and fire or go out and take pictures?! 😀 I would love to know 🙂
