My First Trimester Update

I am beyond excited today because I am going on a 10-day staycation on Friday! I will also be celebrating my birthday during this time, so you know what half of my excitement is about :D. I am also 15 weeks into my pregnancy, which is crazy think about but May 2020 feels like it’s so far still! I wanted to share my pregnancy first trimester update with you. Honestly, it wasn’t that great 3 moths for me. I was nauseous all day, every day; nothing tasted good and I just didn’t to eat anything.

Having gone through losing a baby already earlier this year, I was always anxious when I found out and those were the slowest days EVER! You are never prepared for how you’re going to feel. Until week 5, I was fine, there was no morning sickness or nausea but I was just tired! But all that changed as soon as I hit week 6. I was nauseous from the moment I woke up in the morning to until 4-5 in the evening, every day! It was not as severe as some people experience, but it was definitely not easy. And some foods just made me feel queasy like watermelons- I used to love them but now I cannot even have a bite. I understand now why so many people say they didn’t like their first trimester!

Another sign that I experienced in first trimester were the acne breakouts. My skin is acne prone but since I had laser done last year, it has been pretty good with just a few hormonal breakouts around my period. But, during first trimester it was just popping up anywhere and anytime it wanted. Thankfully that had decreased a lot now since I got into my second trimester.

Even with all these inconveniences, I was glad for them to be there because they were just kind of a signal that my baby was doing okay. Once my morning sickness stopped around week 10, I got very anxious again and I was looking forward to the ultrasound, which is honestly, amazing to see! I mean, you actually get to see your baby moving and somersaulting in you. HOW CRAZY IS THAT?!

I was always amazed and fascinated by what our bodies can do, but experiencing it myself has just brought a whole new meaning to all this! I am 15 weeks currently and I cannot wait to feel the baby move. It should happen in the next few weeks!

Lastly, I will keep you guys posted on these updates, but I’ll try not to overdo them 🙂
