You guys, it is June! It feels like 2017 just started and we’re already almost halfway. And the sun is FINALLY showing up! I cannot even begin to tell you how much I’ve waited for this. Hopefully it stays like this now, because I’m ready for the beaches!! Whhooo!!
Okay, so now that it is officially June, it is time for our monthly favorites for May. There have been a few products that I have been obsessed with lately. So, let’s get on with them-
Becca X Chrissy Teigen Face Palette
I literally pounced on the checkout button as soon as I saw it first released on the Sephora app. And I have been using it every time I do my makeup. My main reason for loving this palette? It compliments my skin tone SOOO WELL!! I have used other highlighters as well like Becca’s opal in both cream and powder, Laura Mercier baked highlighting powder and Kevin Aucoin candlelight highlighter. But this stuff, this looks so so good!! I just spritz some makeup spray and it’s a glow-from-within look. Clichéd, I know, but it is true! 🙂
Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix spray
I love setting sprays in general. I’m not sure if these sprays really do set the makeup, but what I love is that they take away all the powdery effect of the makeup. And once I have my highlighter on, this spray just makes it look so good!!
Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream
I have said this before too and I will say this again, this stuff smells AMAZING and is very moisturizing. A little goes a long way too with this moisturizer. Seriously been using this every day.
Lancôme Grandiose eyeliner
I never used to do eyeliners this liner is a miracle and I don’t see many people talking about it. It has a nice tapered felt tip that makes it very easy to work on the eyes. I have it in the color black and brown, but the brown one is almost over since I use it every day I got to the office. Since I have small eyes, I like when I have liner but the black gets too intense. So, I use brown more frequently. Definitely my favorite!
Lip Products
Okay, let’s first talk about the cutest little lip product here, shall we? This is the Dior Lip Maximizer that I got with the 500 points box from Sephora. Among all the other things that box had, I absolutely loved this. It does a little but I am not sure if it does “maximizes” my lips 🙂 One thing that is for sure though, it really is moisturizing. It is a bit thick like a gloss, has a hint of pink color, and has a very easy to apply applicator.
Another favorite this month has been Huda Beauty lip contour matte pencils. I have it in colors in Trophy wife that is rosewood color but is a nice muted pinky mauve on me and Icon that is described as peachy pink but shows up dark orange on me. These lip pencils are so creamy but have a matte finish with a high color-payoff. I will be buying more of these since they stay even after get back home from work which is something that not many lip pencils do!
Pasta Chips
I know, not healthy. BUT I can’t stop eating these. They come in a few different flavors, but my favorite is this Marinara flavor. These are very crunchy and I love that this is a little spicy that makes me want to drink more water. So, there is something good coming out of this 😀
Blackberries
Something to counter the unhealthiness going on in the above-mentioned item, HAHA! But lately I have been eating lots of blackberries. These small boxes are my favorite ones since I can just keep one in my bag and eat them on the on-the-go if I get hungry. Moreover, they also are a good source of fiber and Vitamin C which is always good.You can get these at any grocery store or Farmer’s Market 🙂
Erin Condren Planner
I have been using these planner since the very day I got these at the Philly Blog Connect Event. You can read my recap of the event here! I generally use this to keep a track of my blog posts, when I have to get pictures of what, when a particular blog post is due and also to track our lunch and dinner plans. They have their new 2017-18 designs out now which are really pretty. I am planning on doing a blog post on how I use this planner so be on a lookout for that 🙂 This has really been very helpful in my organizing and keeping up with the blog.
Nikon 35mm f1.8 lens
I got these lenses in March and this is the only lens that we now use for taking blog photos. You must have read in a lot of posts that these are the best lenses for fashion bloggers but trust me, these do take very nice pictures with the blurred background and nice focus on the details of your dress or accessories or anything that you want to show-off in your pictures. This is a really good investment, if you ask me.
