How to style a midi dress in winter

Happy March! How is the weather on your side of the world? Maybe I can feel the warm weather from your side as it is still cold and snowy here on the east coast. We just came back from India after visiting our families and let me tell you, it is such a pleasant weather there! We also celebrated our 5thwedding anniversary while in India, but I did post a few of our anniversary pictures on the blog, so in case you did not get a chance to take a look at them, here they are!

Today I am talking about how you can wear midi dresses in winters because if I am being honest, 99.9% of times in winter I am in my denims and sweaters with a big jacket on top. And that is a good look, sure, for maybe a month. Bu after that I get bored and want to actually wear my dresses rather than just have them hanging in my closet.

This dress is from reformation that I actually bought for my birthday. I know, classy, right?! 🙂 It was also on sale, so that was a major plus 😀 Anyway, I actually really love this dress and the slit on it, but I was sad that after I wore it once, I couldn’t really wear I outside because it got WAY TOO COLD! So, ta-da, here is how I transitioned it to winter! Now, mind you, I won’t be wearing this in snow! I mean, I wasn’t born in Canada, but this is a good brunch outfit for non-snowy days.

I have also styled this sweater before on my blog. It is a fairly recent purchase, but I love the chunkiness and the roll neck. I feel like this makes it a bit softer and more feminine. I also added my red heels to give this outfit a pop of color!

Another way that styled this, but couldn’t take a lot of pictures of, was kind of in an edgy way. I paired it with my leather jacket and heeled ankle boots.

Which one is your favorite? Let me know in your comments! And stay warm you guys! 🙂
