What to do on a Staycation?

So, everyone I know seems to be taking time off from work or going on vacation and why not! But, sometimes you don’t want to travel and ultimately, spend a lot of money. Sometimes you just want to sit back on your couch, eat delicious food and enjoy your time off. There are a lot of things that you can do without spending a lot of money on getting your mind fresh and enjoying this time. I am always looking for way to save rather than splurging and staycation is one of the topi things on my list. So, I listed some of my favorite things to do on a staycation! 🙂

  1. Digital detox- This is the first thing I would suggest you to do. I did a staycation recently and even though I wasn’t off of technology for the whole time, I did take a 3-day break from posting or consciously making an effort to be present on social media. This instantly makes a huge impact on your mindset and helps in resetting the gears.Staycation | in bed | relaxation
  2. Have an at-home spa day- Having a spa day is one of my favorite activities to do at home- doesn’t matter if I am working or not. You do not need a ton of items for a DIY spa day. Just a couple of bath bombs, candles and face masks. I start off with a facial and face mask and then go ahead with a luxurious bath and a rich body lotion and a hydrating sheet mask in the end to finish it off. You can put on your favorite music or listen a podcast or an audiobook that you have been loving.
  3. Experiment with food- I love food. And I like cooking, most of the time. Now, I don’t know about you, but I get so tired during the week that I don’t get to cook as much as I would like. So, something that I like to do on a staycation is cook some of the recipes that I generally do not get to otherwise, like bread or that delicious lasagna.
  4. Work on your passion- This is a great time to do that brainstorming and come up with new and exciting ideas for your side hustle or your passion project. Do a batch writing for your blog posts or take a ton of outfit pictures or film a bunch of videos for your YouTube or your IGTV.
  5. Netflix and Chill- or don’t do anything! Just lie on your couch and watch TV, your favorite shows, eat a bunch of your favorite food, take naps and literally do nothing! Like I did 😀
