My Trader Joe’s Must Haves!

Happy February guys! So, one of my goals to eat healthy wasn’t a big success in January. I mean, I did eat fried chicken on 2 of the weekends! But, make no mistake, I am also all about maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle. So, even though I like going out and eating all of that greasy food, which is honestly heaven, I do like making a meal plan for weeks ahead on a Sunday and do grocery shopping for the week in advance.

Some of our favorites in the house are vegetarian chili with brown rice, kale salad (that I shared on the blog a few months back), Greek salad and one pot pasta. My favorite store to shop for the groceries in Trader Joe’s, like a lot of other people. I mean, what can’t you get?! Today I am sharing our TJ’s must haves that we like to always in stock in our refrigerator. Let’s go!

Produce/Frozen Food:
  1. Cauliflower Fried Rice- we almost always have this in our fridge. It is so easy to make with some veggies, soy sauce and eggs and whenever we have some time and want something tasty but healthy, this is our way to go.
  2. Vegetable Fried rice- a must have. I cannot tell you how many times we have had this for lunch. It takes only 5-7 mins to cook and tastes OH-SO-GOOD!
  3. Mandarin Orange Chicken- Always have at least 2 of these in our fridge. ALWAYS.
  4. Kung Pao Chicken- I love that it is spicy with some gravy and I love serving it with rice.
  5. Frozen Acai Packs- Acai is said to be a superfood and I love adding this to my morning smoothies after gym. So glad that TJ’s carries this because I couldn’t find it anywhere else!
  6. Vegetable Masala Burger- It tastes a lot like Indian food and is very quick and easy to make. We make it into a sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles.
  7. Paneer tikka masala with Spinach rice- We like keeping it jus in case we come home really late and do not want to cook or for weekend lunches, when, you know, you are just too lazy. I know I am not the only one! 🙂
  8. Minestrone soup- This taste so good you guys! And it is really good when you have a cold or just want something warm- so basically all winter, lol!
Veggies:
  1. Organic Spinach, kale and Arugula- Always have these in our house, I love adding kale and spinach to our smoothies as well, along with the salads.
  2. Broccoli, cauliflower and Brussel Sprouts- Love these in roasted veggies.
  3. Potatoes- I love their colorful potato bags. I never knew there were purple potatoes! 😀
Misc.
  1. Dark chocolate almonds- I don’t like almonds by itself but I swear these are my go-to snacks. My favorites are the one with sea salt and turbinado sugar.
  2. Unfiltered apple juice- Love having this for my breakfast, with the next item on this list!
  3. Whole wheat thin bagel slims- I love these! These are filling, but not very, so you still feel good. And it’s healthy, so that’s just a plus!
  4. Everything bagel seasoning- I love adding this to my eggs or avocado toasts.
  5. Grapes- You can get them anywhere, but they have the best ones. Last a lot longer and are sooo good!!
  6. Canned Jackfruit- I could never find good jackfruit, but this is the best! I have an Indian recipe that I love making this with! Maybe I’ll share it on the blog sometime, because if you haven’t, you really need to try Jackfruit curry!

Hope you guys are having a great 2019!
