I am not sure about you guys but I am kinda nosy when it comes to finding out what products everyone is using like shampoo, conditioner and stuff like that. Believe it or not, there was a time when I used to binge on these types of YouTube videos. So, I thought, why not bring it back and give you guys a rundown of what products I like to use in my shower.
Now, there are some products that are a staple- ones that I absolutely love and will buy again and again. In short, I cannot take a shower without it. And then there are some nice to haves- ones that I enjoy using sometimes if I want to indulge myself. So, let’s get to it-
Haircare
For my shampoo I have been using the matrix shampoo from target for years. Honestly, I am not very particular for shampoo and this one seems to clean my hair just fine. But if I want to indulge in a deep hair care day, then I bring out my Briogeo charcoal scalp revival shampoo. It comes in a tub and is black in color. I know, terrifying! But it feels really good when you apply since it has that peppermint-y cooling feel to it. And it also does a really great job and deep cleaning my hair.
For conditioning my hair, I prefer a mask rather than an actual conditioner. Since I wash my hair only once a week, I would rather moisturize it really well than just the normal conditioners. Also, my hair is very frizzy and the ends tend to get very dry, hence the extra moisture and conditioning. My favorite brand for conditioners is Briogeo. I LOVE their hair mask. The one is always use is their Deep Conditioning Hair Mask. It makes my hair so soft and light and full of moisture. Another one from Briogeo that I absolutely love but is limited edition in this vegan apple hair mask. This is honestly another level. I use it sparingly since it is limited edition and I don’t want to run out of this so fast.
On times when I feel like my hair is starting to feel very frizzy and dry, I go for a hair treatment. The one I love and you might already own this or love this is this Olaplex No 3 hair treatment. Before putting it in my hair though, I use the charcoal scalp shampoo so my hair is clean and the treatment can actually work only hair. Afterwards, I just shampoo and condition my hair as usual.
Bodycare
I am not very picky about body washes but I do love a good scent in my body wash. 2 that I currently have and are in rotation are Lush Rose Jam shower gel and Ouai body cleanser. They both lather up really well with my loofah and seem to do the job. Seriously though, they smell amazing and so does my bathroom after every shower. For shaving my legs, I use the Venus brand razor with blades that have inbuilt soaps on them. I am thinking about getting a proper shave gel but this just helps cut down the time I spend on that.
I do like to use body scrub before I use my razor so there are no tiny hairs. I currently have the one from Herbivore Botanicals. Again, this does the job and smells amazing. DO you see the theme here? 🙂
For body lotion, you might laugh at this but my favorite body lotion/ oil that I use everyday is the Johnson and Johnson baby oil. I tell you, this moisturizes my skin SO WELL! Sometimes if I am feeling fancy and want to smell extra good, I use my Brazilian Bum Bum cream in orange tub. That vanilla scent is just divine! And then lock it in with the Elizabeth Arden body oil spray.
Skincare
I have been using the gentle face wash from Epionce per my aesthetician and I absolutely love how this feels on my face. Does not dry it out which was an issue with most of the other face washes I was using before. I like to sometimes use my Foreo Luna with it if I want gentle exfoliation or if I’m taking my makeup off. These 2 combined give me such clean skin!
