My Diwali Menu!

It is almost impossible to believe that it is that time of year again! 2020 Diwali seems like it was ages ago but still not really, you know what I mean? This has to be one of my favorite holidays in the year. I absolutely love getting all dressed up, hanging out with our friends and eating all that delicious, yummy Indian food.

I am also really excited this year because this year Neal is also going to be so much involved in the celebrations. Last year, he was around 6 months, was not even sitting and had only just started solids. But this year, oh boy! I think he is going to have a blast. Unless he decides to do the exact opposite of that.

This is that one time of the year where I really miss India. Seeing all the houses decorated with lights, being a part of a really long puja my mom made me sit in (LOL), seeing my friends after and then having a nice meal with my mom, dad and brother. But I want Neal to have fond memories of this festival as well and so, I am going to do my best to make it a wonderful festival for him!

Another aspect that I really like is making all that delicious food and enjoying it with my family once the puja is over. I get started the day before on some things like the kheer (semolina dessert) and put it in the fridge for Diwali day since it tastes SO GOOD when it is cold. YUM!

Anyway, I want to share all of my Diwali menu with you guys, with links so you can check them out too!
