Dining Room Mood Board

Let’s talk home décor. More specifically, Dining room décor. As you guys know, we moved into our new home about 6 months back in 2020. Since we have been living in apartments before, our furniture and décor was also on the scale of an apartment. But now that we are in a 2-level house, all that décor seems….too small. Our previous dining table could only accommodate 4 people and doesn’t really fit in with our new dining space.

If you guys have watched my house tour, you know that we have a nice designated dining room space. So, I really want to design and decorate in a way that it feels cozy and inviting but still functional. I want to add a buffet or a sideboard that will hold all of our nicer plates and bowls and also add a wine or drinks fridge for easy access at dining. I think we’ll either need to get something like that made custom or get something that’ll hold the wine fridge. For now, I have my eye on one of the sideboards from Pottery Barn. Guys, it is expensive, BUT I SO LOVE IT!! The wood texture, design- chef’s kiss!

For the actual dining table, I’m pretty sure I’ll get this one from World Market. I saw it in the store and immediately loved it. Also, a big plus that you can extend it. So, normally it seats 6 people, but if you have guests staying over, you can sit 8-10 people on it. Major props for that!!

I have listed all the items I am looking to buy for our dining room below. Some of it is a bit expensive so I’ll update this post with more budget- friendly options as I come across them. But this is definitely the vibe that I’m going for. And in case you guys missed it, here my living room mood board where I talked about what kind of décor I am going for in our living room. Also, stay tuned for a Nursery Tour VERY SOON!!
