With the holiday season nearing, all I can think about is the delicious food I am going to eat all the time. But, that does interfere with my healthy food habits. I have been trying to make these protein energy balls for some time now and I think the recipe I am listing below, is the best and the easiest. You only need 5 ingredients and it take only 10 mins to put it together. I always have a batch chilling in my fridge for a quick snack and I thought I’ll share this with you because I want to 🙂
INGREDIENTS
Oats- 1 ¼ cups
Flax Seeds- 2 Tbsp
Chia Seeds- 2 Tbsp
Mini chocolate chips- ¼ cups (more if you desire)
Kosher salt- ¼ tsp.
Ground cinnamon- ½ tsp.
Peanut butter- ¾ cups
Honey- ¼ cups
Vanilla extract- ½ tsp.
Milk- 2 tbsp.
STEPS
- Add all the ingredients in a bowl, except milk. Mix everything together and roll it into a ball. If the mixture feels dry, add milk gradually to bind it together.
- Keep it all in a baking tray and freeze it for at least 1 hour before snacking on it.
