Question- what clothes and dresses am I supposed to shop for? I am confused because it is still cold here. Oh, and raining too! Doesn’t feel like may, except that it is! How is it May already? This year is going by FAST!! Well, I’m not complaining there 🙂
Today is Friday, so that means end to a long busy working week. Man, I feel great on Fridays! Also, my mom is planning to visit us sometime in May and I am so excited!! I am already thinking of what places we’re going to visit and all the shopping that we’re gonna do: D
She’s also going to be attending my Graduation Ceremony that is in June. YAYY!! Almost a month to go 🙂 Hopefully the weather is good by then, because I really really really want some sun and summer!
As we’re talking about summer, let’s talk about this dress, shall we? So, you might remember that we went to Washington DC in April, I also wrote a post on our trip. I did a little shopping there from Zara. Lovveee Zara! They have such nice, cool and trendy pieces. When I took this dress to the fitting room, I wasn’t so sure about it, but it looked so cute when I tried it on. I love the big flared trumpet sleeves. And the smocking makes it stay in place without much effort which is sometimes difficult in off shoulder dresses. It is such a cute dress for a hot summer day. I love the pinstripe print which is having a big moment right now. Almost every store has a pinstripe item and almost everyone owns one.
I paired this with these block heel tie sandals which I got last year from Lulu’s. I love the chunky wooden heels and how comfortable they are to walk in! Although these are sold out, you can get similar ones here, here and here.
Also, I got these earrings from India during my visit last year and loved how it looked paired with this dress.
I am so excited to wear this in the summers. Wish I could wear it this weekend since we’re celebrating my husband’s birthday too! What are you guys doing on the weekend? 🙂
