I am SO excited to soon be moving into our new home in a few weeks! It is a lot bigger space than we have lived in so definitely will need to shop around for new furniture and décor. I am thinking of furnishing the main floor first and then move onto the second floor. Although, Neal’s room is going to be one of the first rooms I would start arranging. I also have a vision of what I want to do in his room and I shared the mood board with you guys on some of the items that I am eyeing.
On the main floor, I would focus first on the living room and then move onto the entryway, dining space and sunroom. Again, the kitchen is going to be arranged first thing when we move but the décor part is going to take a little longer as I want to really do my research and make purchases that go with the overall design style of the home. As for the actual décor style, we are leaning more towards classic and cozy. I want to keep the big items neutral and cozy with colorful accents and décor pieces. Not sure what style you will call it 🙂
Today, I am sharing the mood board for our living room. I want to have enough seating space so if we are hosting, there is enough place for people to sit down and also keep it cozy. We will definitely be adding more plants and décor. I also want to add a bookcase or a shelving unit on one of the walls to add some books and décor.
I am so pumped to move in and start the decoration process.
