Happy Sunday y’all!! How was your weekend? Mine was a little expensive #NSale, LOL 😀 And I still CANNOT stop- currently adding items to my cart 🙂
I am very excited to see everything once I get it and I will be sharing them here as well. Stay Tuned for that, but for today- we have a foundation review! Whoop Whoop!! 😀
I mentioned in this post that I use Estee Lauder for full and long lasting coverage, but I am almost out of that and was thinking to try out a new foundation. And just in time, I got sent this Brand New from Laura Mercier. It is their Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Foundation which was launched on 7th July. This comes in a total of 20 shades and claims to last for upto 15 hours! I got this is the shade chai (4W2) and although it has lot of yellow undertone, once applied, it matched my skin pretty good.
This has medium coverage, which can be made to full coverage by adding another lighter layer. I like that in particular because sometimes I have good skin days when I don’t want full coverage and this would be perfect for those days as well as the days when I have acne- WIN WIN!! Also, even though the coverage is good, it doesn’t cake up, which WE ALL HATE, right?!
The finish is semi-matte, which I like. I am not a fan of satin or dewy finishes when we are talking about long lasting foundations because I know that they won’t work for my oily skin. Another PLUS! I used a beauty blender for applying this, that is what I always use! And I think it would work for dry skins as well since it is not really drying. But I would love to know your opinions in the comments below!
The pump is also good since it does not pump out blobs of foundation but drops of it, which makes it easier to control the amount of foundation.
I wore this on a weekend when we had a few events planned and when I got home at 7 in the evening, it still looked good. It wasn’t exactly the same as it was when I applied it, but a lot better than many other foundations that I have tried before. Awesome, right?! 🙂
All in all, I would say I really like it. The coverage and the finish is really good and it does last long. BUT, I still prefer my loved Estee Lauder Double Wear for those long hours! 🙂
Have you tried this foundation? If yes, what do you think? What are your favorites? I would LOVE to know! 🙂
