Happy 4th July, Folks!!
This was such a nice and long holiday weekend from Saturday to Tuesday 🙂 I know, a few of you guys had Monday office and I feel really sorry for you all!! But seriously, we’re already halfway through 2017! How?! But this year been really good so far- I completed my second masters, got my degree with my family cheering me from the crowds, my mum came to visit us and we have been having a blast and this trip to Niagara Falls and Alexandria Bay that we took on 4th July weekend.
We started on Saturday morning at 10:30 (although we were supposed to leave by 8:00 😀 ). I’m sure we’re not the only ones to do this, right?! 🙂 It was about 5-5.5 hours ride and got to Niagara falls by 5:00 PM- Yep, A LOOONNG Ride!
I absolutely LOVE Niagara Falls. And more so in the evening when they have have the color show and since it was Canada’s 150th year as well, we got to see the fireworks- AMAZING!!
I tried to incorporate some of the colors for 4th of July and wore this Banana Republic navy blue ruffle top– gorgeous, right?! (These are not available on the website, but these are VERY similar, except for the cold shoulder sleeves. Also love these in blush color with a shoulder-tie) And paired it with these fun yellow shorts, which are also from Banana Republic. (These denim high waisted shorts are also a similar design and these from Nordstrom look EXACTLY the same!!)LOVE how these two looked together! Also, can we PLEASE just ignore my HAIR?! I don’t know what was going on with them! Volume is good, but this was a little TOO MUCH! 😀
And the rest of the accessories you might know 😀 The usual- my wedding rings, my infinity necklace that my husband got me, my Daniel Wellington (A Twist!) with the red(**pink**)-white-blue strap. Love how this adds a fun touch to any outfit 🙂
Also, I am such a klutz! Totally forgot to pack my sneakers and wore these sandals from target, which looked cute, but were not so comfortable after walking for 7 hours. Oh well! And you knew this was coming- I had my Michael Kors backpack with me since I knew this would be the perfect carry on without having to carry anything! 😀 I don’t think they have this design anymore since I couldn’t find it on their website, but I do love these small RHEA Backpacks.
