How is this last full week of January?! Didn’t we JUST welcome 2022? Honestly, time needs to slow down a bit. Don’t you agree? Anyway, I am so glad to report that I am bringing back the “Favorite Fives” series from 2020. Let me just say, 2021 was probably one of the worst years for me in terms of blogging. I got so wrapped up in my baby, new house and job that blogging took a back seat. I’m not mad about it, it gave me time to focus on things that were ore important. But I am trying to also bring this back into the focus. And so, I’m bringing back this series since I know SO MANY of you guys LOVED it.
Let’s dive into this month’s list.
- Merit cream bronzer– I never thought I would say this but cream makeup products have been such a game changer for me recently. Love how natural they look, how easy it is to apply and how long it stays on the face. I am currently using the Merit beauty bronzer in the shade Amber and I absolutely love it. I apply a tiny bit just below my cheeks, a bit on the sides of my forehead and blend it in with my beauty blender or brush. Beautiful natural finish.
- Essie nail paint in shade ballet slippers– I’ll be honest, I don’t go to get my nails done as much as I used to before. In fact, the only times I do go out is either for any event or occasion like birthdays, anniversaries and such. But I do enjoy painting my nails so they look pretty and natural. I have again fallen in love with the “Ballet Slippers” nail paint from Essie. It is such a wonderful sheer pink color and I never have to think twice about how it’s going to look with my skin tone.
- Nespresso– I am not even going to explain on why this is a favorite of mine. I mean, I do need coffee every single morning to wake up my senses and also take that time while drinking coffee to plan mine and Neal’s day and what we are doing in terms of activities and outings.
- Fresh lip scrub– LOVE THIS! It is honestly the best lip scrub. Very gentle and hydrating, which I love. I used to really like the lip scrub from Lush Cosmetics but overtime I realized it was just way too harsh the sensitive skin on my lips. And this lip scrub just works amazing and also smells wonderful!
- My current Lip combo– I am obsessed with my go-to lip combo. The lipliner that I use and love is from Buxom in the shade Restricted (not sold anymore) . I line as well as fill my lips with it. It’s a beautiful nude shade for my skin tone. And the lipstick I use with it is Glossier Generation G in the shade Pink. I also like to sometimes top it off with the Fenty beauty gloss. My favorite is the shade fussy.
Let me know some of your favorites for this month in the comments!
