Glossier Review

Hi you guys!! Sunday already, huh! I don’t know how the weeks is always so long, but the weekend always manages to sneak by! I seriously never understand this.

As we all know, this week is also Valentine’s day, which I am pretty excited about, but what I am more excited about is hubby and I’s wedding anniversary that is on the weekend! And after that, is also my blog’s 1-year anniversary! I cannot believe I have been doing this for a year and I have learnt so much, met so many new wonderful people. So, you already know that blog posts are coming up for those events as well 🙂

Today we are going to talk about Glossier. Glossier is that new makeup brand that is a go-to for those people who like to keep it minimal, classy and elegant. From all the reviews that I have read about their products, what I know is that their foundation has the lightest coverage, the formula of their products is very hydrating and that their brow product is THE BEST!

Now, if you have been a regular at my blog, you might know that I like my base to be good in coverage because of my skin issues. But I really liked the idea of their cloud paint (which is basically a blush), or their boy brow which is a one-and-done product for your eyebrows. AND, their toner kept popping up on my feed. So, I finally decided that I needed (yes, needed!) to try out their products. After spending a full hour on their website, I narrowed it down to 4 products that I wanted to order.

I am breaking down their performance and my verdict below and whether they are as good as they are talked about.

  1. Glossier Solution– I was using pixi glow before I started using this, but I wasn’t really sure if that was doing anything. I am not sure about this either, but it does feel like it’s working since it tingles a little when I use it. I apply it with a cotton pad, it has a pump that you can put your cotton on and pump the toner on the pad- very easy to use. It also has AHA/BHA which is said to be great for acne and blemish prone skin, so I am waiting for it to do wonders on my skin! 😀

2. Generation G– This is their lipstick which is more like a sheer color balm, that you can build up as per your liking. They have a variety of shades ranging from nude to reddish dark. The color that I got is “crush”. It is a pretty pink color which is like a “my lips but better” color for me and I keep it in my work bag mostly, just to touch-up in case we have any after work happy hour. Although, I would probably not get more of these because I have very pigmented lips and it shows up in different colors on my upper and lower lip.

3. Cloud Paint– These are essentially cream blushes. They come in 4 different shades, out of which I ordered “Beam” and “Puff”. These were the lighter shades in their collection and I absolutely love how it looks on the skin. These are perfect for those good-skin, no-makeup days when you want your cheeks to look flushed. Puff is a very bubblegum-pink color and Beam is a peachy nude which is perfect for everyday use. Also, a little goes a long way. I would probably end up buying the other 2 shades as well! 😀

4. Boy Brow– This is, by no doubt, the most talked about glossier product and rightly so. It is a one-step product for your eyebrows. Every morning when I am getting ready for work, I brush my brows with them and since my brows have sparse hair in the beginning, I just add some powder with a brow brush. This step takes me literally a minute and I am done. I know everyone says this, but trust me- if you only get one thing from Glossier, get this!

All in all- I would say I am pretty impressed with their stuff. I am really liking the toner and the boy brow; the cream blushes are a close second and last comes the lip colors.

Let me know if you have tried Glossier before and which one is your favorite product! Or if you are thinking about trying one, you can use my link and get 10% off of your 1st order 🙂
